If you are comfortable in a terminal, ExifTool sorts your photos for free. If duplicates are your only problem, dupeGuru is excellent and free. And if your photos are already well organized, you need nothing at all. PicsOrder earns its price when you want everything at once — chronological sorting, duplicates skipped, iPhone photos, monthly re-runs — with nothing to learn and zero risk to your originals. MP4/MOV videos are not handled yet: if that is essential for you today, wait for our update.
